28/03/2024 – "A musical walk of discovery" is the motto of the Street Music Festival, which aims to challenge the public to walk around various emblematic spaces in the city of Coimbra, always to the sound of live music!
There are five street music bands on the programme:
- Os Supertronik Bootleg, the Funk You Brass Band, Desmói BB, Folhas de Pessego and the Dixie Gringos Jazz Band. This edition seeks to broaden its scope, giving way to philharmonic bands, with the presence of the three philharmonic associations in the municipality: the Philharmonic group União Taveirense, the Adriano Soares Philharmonic Association and the Ceira Social and Recreational Association Philharmonic.
There will also be room for the exclusive presentation (in concert) of an ensemble of 20 young musicians from the region, who, today, 28th March, will give the general public the result of a practical workshop to perfect this musical "language", bringing an educational and formative side to Baixa o Som.
