04-06-2020 The University of Coimbra receives distinction in the category of "National Monuments". 

In order to establish what is best in the different regions of Portugal, the Five Star Regions Award was born.  

In the 3rd edition, the distinction has an evaluation system that "identifies the best that exists in each of the 20 regions (18 districts + 2 autonomous regions) according to the Portuguese population, in terms of natural resources, gastronomy, art and culture, heritage and other regional icons of national reference. It also rewards Portuguese companies that differentiate themselves at a regional level". 

In the region of Coimbra, Piodão, Pastel de Tentúgal and Conímbriga were also distinguished in different categories.
