17.11.2022-From the 8th of November to the 8th of December, the University of Coimbra will host the 4th edition of the Orphika music cycle.
About 40 concerts are part of the programme Orphika music cycle, which the University of Coimbra (UC) thought of taking to several places in the city.
During the presentation of the programme for the fourth edition of the Orphika music cycle, which took place in the Paço das Escolas da UC, Delfim Leão indicated that throughout one month, 36 different productions will be presented to which six events will be added.
Many of the concerts will take place at the University, but also in other places of the city, thus being the whole city a stage.
For this year, a programme has been planned that considers the fact that this year the 200th anniversary of Brazil's independence and the 20th anniversary of East Timor's independence are being celebrated.
The Orphika music cycle will start on the 8th of November and the closing concert will be at São Francisco Convent, with the Christmas Cantata "O Pássaro Azul" by Paulo Bernardino, with the Orquestra Clássica do Centro on the 8th of December.
Most of the concerts that compose the programme of the fourth edition of the Orphika music cycle, organised by the University of Coimbra, have free admission.
