20/06/2024 - The 2nd Photography Competition promoted by the Portuguese UNESCO World Geoparks, in partnership with Turismo de Portugal, runs from 15 April to 30 June 2024.
This competition aims to record, through photographic images, the natural and cultural diversity of the heritage that portrays the identity of these territories.
The categories in the competition are Geodiversity, Biodiversity, People, Lifestyles and Cultural Heritage, and the photographs must be taken in the six Portuguese Geoparks classified by UNESCO:
Azores, Arouca, Estrela, Naturtejo, Oeste or, Terras de Cavaleiros.
The best photo in each category will be awarded a prize including a two-night stay for two people in a Portuguese UNESCO World Geopark of the winners' choice.
Participation is open to the public and submission to geoparquesportugueses@gmail.com is free of charge, with a limit of 3 photographs per participant. Entries must be submitted by 30th June 2024.
The results will be announced on 18th August and the awards will be presented on 17th November.
