25/01/2024 - "All times will intersect", on show at Sala da Cidade, Coimbra
According to the 'Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra', this exhibition aims to "demonstrate, through heterogeneous proposals, how, in this adverse context, architecture and art have been able to find strategies that structure the territory, recreate it and revive its deepest fabric, recovering its forgotten possibilities, consolidating it."
"These are proposals that intervene against the current and on a scale of proximity, reinforcing the identity of places and their ability to structure our time. Armed with all the knowledge, they can be the trigger that leads to the inversion of this unidirectional paradigm and makes it possible to change the cycle of emptying and impoverishment, reclaiming urbanity, proposing more ethics and more aesthetics," says the Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra.
As part of the "Caring for a country" cycle, this is an exhibition on Portugal's national territory, architecture, and art, co-organised by Coimbra City Council, the 'Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra', the Department of Architecture at the University of Coimbra (UC), the Centre for Social Studies and the UC Faculty of Economics.
The exhibition will be on show at Sala da Cidade until 2nd March and can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday, from 13h00 to 18h00.
