05-11-2020 Lisbon is the first city to receive a new technology that will help to purify the air: the 'City Trees'. Each wooden structure "purifies the air of seven thousand people per hour".
Lisbon now receives two City Trees, which are wooden structures with different types of moss inside, which not only purify the air, but also monitor it in real time.
These gears will be placed in Ribeira das Naus until January 7th next year.
This innovative project in Portugal allows to obtain additional fundamental data and identify green areas as well as critical city points. The choice of Lisbon for the installation of this equipment results from the effort and investment that Lisbon is making to increasingly be a sustainable city.
The City Trees were installed by DPDgroup in partnership with the municipality.
